Maps of content are orientation pages. They provide paths, not fences.
They matter when:
- a topic has enough notes to deserve a guided entry point
- multiple notes keep touching the same concept
- serendipity needs a bit of structure to stay useful
In practice, many maps can simply be folder index.md pages inside a domain such as psychology or philosophy.
